Marvi is the Managing Director of Family Philanthropy & Legacy planning at BMO Family Office, an integrated wealth management provider that serves ultra-affluent individuals, families and family offices across their tax, estate, investment, philanthropic, risk and family capital needs.
She provides clients with strategic guidance to help give meaningful expression to their wealth. Marvi brings to client engagements a depth of insight and an acute understanding of family dynamics and conflict resolution. Drawing on her credibility and longevity in the charitable sector, Marvi helps clients choose effective strategies to build a successful and lasting philanthropic legacy.
Marvi joined BMO in 2002, following 12 years as Executive Director of The Richard Ivey Foundation, where she oversaw the strategic direction of the charitable organization and helped establish its national presence. Previously, she was the Director of the Public and Community Relations Department at the University of Toronto.
Marvi earned her Master’s degree in organic chemistry from the University of Toronto. She is a Family Firm Institute (FFI) Fellow and a recipient of the FFI’s Family Wealth Advising Certificate. Marvi has served on many local and national boards, among them: University of Toronto Governing Council, Toronto General & Western Hospitals Foundation, National Museum of Science and Technology, Ontario Living Legacy Trust, and Women in the Lead.
